Set of 4 Infusion Jars

Add some style to your spirit infusions with these tall space saving infusion jars. They are really glass kitchen canisters, but are perfect for making infusions as well. The lids are made of black plastic and stainless steel and fit snugly into the canisters.

However, when agitating your infusion once a day, it's best to mix it with a tall spoon instead of turning the canister upside down to avoid leakage. Four sizes to fit all your needs. 0.7L, 1L, 1.3L and 1.75L.

Top Things to Know About Infusing Spirits.

1. Always start with squeaky-clean jars, spoons, and other tools you will be using. This includes your hands and counter tops.

2. Strive for organic infusing ingredients, but still wash and rinse them thoroughly.

3. When infusing citrus (orange, lemon, lime, tangelo, grapefruit, etc.), you want to use the zest of the fruit. The zest is the scraped off outer skin.

4. When using vanilla pods, slice them open lengthwise and scrape out the center. Use this and the pod in the infusion.

5. The bright red maraschino cherries are fake and full of chemicals.Do not use for infusing.

Fat Washing

Fat washing is when you infuse using a fat such as bacon grease or real butter. For example, if you wanted to make Bacon Flavored Bourbon, you would pour a 750ml bottle of Bourbon into an infusing jar. Then fry up a pound of bacon (Use a steak weight to get the most fat out). Pour the bacon grease into the jar. Allow it to sit for 24 hours then set it in the freezer and the fat will rise and coagulate (takes around an hour). Remove the grease easily and strain to get the little bits out. You now have Bacon Infused Bourbon.
