When I first came across this shaker, I felt it was gimmicky. It was not until a recent bar I was working at had them. The shaker breaks up the ice so well I had to own this. It can muddles ingredients while shaking the cocktail. When making fruity cocktails, I will drop in pineapple chunks for it to pulverise. This adds a new flavor and texture to the cocktail that some customers really like. If you are trying to get the ice to break up and release water into the cocktail to bring out certain flavors this is the shaker you want.
